Valley Grove, WV to Pendleton, IN
Big Rig Travels day began at 8:16 am at the side of the road near Valley Grove, WV. It is 45 degrees and partly cloudy. We are continuing our trip to Columbus, OH. “Sorry about last night, phone died, anyway I guess it was a sign that we should shut down where we did. We were dog tired, rain, mountains, night. We would have ran out of time anyway. We are going to stop at the TA up here to get some ostrich coffee until we get to Love’s.” We have 145 miles to go.
We stopped at the TA near Triadelphia, WV at 8:20 am. Before leaving, Steve needed to catch up on paperwork.
Back onto I-70 at 8:35 pm.
“Alright, crossing the Ohio River, going into Ohio” at 8:47 am near Bellaire.
Love’s stop near Etna, OH to top off the refer tank at 10:48 am.
Broadcast ends at 11:28 am upon arrival at the yard near Columbus, OH to drop the trailer.
Broadcast resumes at 11:57 am, we are bobtail bob starting our trip Findlay, OH to pick up a special trailer.
Stopped at the rest area on US 23 near Marion, OH at 1:00 pm. It was 48 degrees and clear, Steve noted this was a very nice rest area with rocking chairs and everything. He thought it was maybe newly redone.
Arrival at a customer to pick up trailer. Guard will not let us take out the trailer, he needs supervisor to authorize who won’t be in until tomorrow.
Steve decides to bobtail to the Race Trac at 2:24 pm near Findlay to work with the bosses on the trailer. Bosses had BRS go to another customer at 2:55 pm near Findlay to pick up an empty trailer.
Arrival at Love’s near Napoleon, OH at 4:17 pm to fuel up the trailer. Broadcast ends, Steve is going to resumes broadcasting after getting the load picked up at the shipper.
Broadcast resumes at 5:44 pm. “Welcome back. We have 3:35 left on our 11 hour clock.” Starting our trip to Onley, IL. Steve had just completed the Cat Scale at Love’s near Napoleon, OH.
I-69 rest area stop near Jarney, IN to send message for emergency fuel authorization.
Love’s stop near Pendleton, IN for fuel at 8:19 pm
Big Rig Steve officially done at 9:17 pm. We made our own parking spot at the Flying J near Lebanon, IN. Delivery is a drop whenever we get there tomorrow. We have about 3 hours to go.
Numbers: We covered 512 miles including several customers, a drop, and a swap of trailers. We had a good week, covering over 2500 miles.
Clocks: 0:15 hours on 11 hr, 0:30 hours on 14 hr, 1:40 hours on 70 hr. Gain back 6 hours tomorrow morning.
No alarm clock ⏰ tomorrow.
