Columbus, OH to Shepherdsville, KY
Big Rig Travels day began at 9:43 am, live at the dock door near Columbus, Ohio. It is 67 degrees and soggy. Hooked up a nice clean trailer next door to where we dropped, then spent the night in customer parking. Status changed to “on time to delivery” at 10:41 am. We are starting our trip to Murfreesboro, TN.
Love’s stop for coffee at 10:55 am.
I-71 rest area stop near Octa, OH at 11:56 am. Checked messages. We had our next trip.
Another rest area stop near Lebanon, OH at 12:34 pm to accept the trip.
We spy dedicated road crew standing in the downpour on the overpass near Mason, OH at 1:00 pm. Steve honks the Blue Comet horn as we pass and notes the reason he saw them was they were holding their BRS road crew flag. “Somebody find out who that was and email me.”
“Alright welcome to Kentucky” near Covington at 1:29 pm.
Love’s stop near Sparta, KY at 2:24 pm. “Do not come here, so they are rebuilding the store, no hot food, one coffee pot going, long lines. We grabbed donuts.” We also completed our 30 minute break.
BRS spots smoking brakes on a big rig going the other direction at 3:43 pm near Louisville, KY.
Big Rig Steve officially done at 4:20 pm near Shepherdsville, KY. It is 70 and overcast. A watch party starts and goes until 7:44 pm.
Numbers: 199 miles to receiver, projected leaving at 9:00 am, delivery is a 1:00 pm appt.
Clocks: 6:13 hours on 11 hr, 6:35 hours on 14 hr, 8:58 hours on 70 hr. Gain back 3 hours tomorrow morning.
No alarm clock ⏰ tomorrow.
