Title: Three States Today

Big Rig Travels broadcast day at  9:09 CDT  near Paducah, Kentucky after having a good night.

10:36 “Cinnamon Roll Bucket” trailer near Hopkinsville, KY.

10:45 Love’s stop at Hopkinsville, KY for coffee and fuel. Pocketed $16.00 in DEF bonuses.

11:24 “1, 2, 3 Welcome to Tennessee” Shortly after at 11:26 found a blue velvet ottoman and couch on the side of the road.

12:06 Slowdown in the Nashville, TN metro area.

13:25 Rest area stop in Hillsboro, TN to warm up coffee and add a bit of sweetener. Beautiful fall colors on today’s drive.

13:51 Truck inspection area near Monteagle, TN. Getting ready for a 6% grade for 4 miles going from elevation of 1745 ft to 584 ft. Both runaway ramps are open. BRS advised we are taking this one slow, best not to end up at the bottom of the mountain.

14:13 new stream started.

14:20 exited off of I-24 to US 41 due to upcoming road blockage. New territory on backroads near Chattenooga, TN. After some driving, BRS pulled over to let 28 vehicles pass by, then back onto I-24 where there was still slowed traffic.

16:26 Welcome to Georgia, this is our third state today.

16:23 onto I-75 to Atlanta, GA

16:38 near miss incident. Blue Comet almost got slammed into on the left side. BRS adeptly and quickly shifted a bit in his lane, but couldn’t move over. Another car quickly moved to the left shoulder to avoid getting slammed as cars were not slowing down in enough time.

18:09 hunt for parking spot started in Atlanta Petro truck stop. It was full. Used our required 1/2 hr break looking for a spot and sitting for a few minutes (not blocking anyone). Only reserved and premium reserved spots open.

19:06 continued to move on in efforts to find an open spot.

Numbers : 242 mile 389 km to the receiver, we covered 445 miles 716 km rolling out of Kentucky into and out of Tennessee, finally into Georgia.  Our eight day running total 3019 miles 4859 km
