Arrival at the customer to check in to pick up a damaged trailer at 9:17 am near Forest Park, GA. After inspecting, the trailer has the door ripped off the hinges, laying on the ground. It’s too heavy to move. Steve contacts the bosses to abort this recovery.
We stop at the RaceTrac at 9:45 am in Forest Park, GA to wait for further instructions. We get approved to go to the next shipper without a trailer near Kennesaw, GA.
Arrival at check in near Kennesaw at 11:19 am to pick up a preloaded trailer. We are starting our trip to Brookhaven, MS which is 441 miles away at 11:51 am.
Onto I-20 at 12:40 pm.
Pilot stop near Villa Rica, GA at 1:00 pm to visit the Cat Scale. No adjustments needed.
Love’s stop at 1:25 pm near Waco, GA for fuel. We are now 2 gallons to diamond for February.
Welcome to Central Time Zone and Alabama at 12:56 pm near Muscadine.
I-20 traffic stop at 2:12 pm near Irondale, AL. We ended up exiting off the interstate and taking a detour through Birmingham city streets around an accident which had I-20 shut down.
Love’s stop near Eutaw, AL at 4:12 pm. We are now at 1508 gallons, we have achieved diamond for February.
Big Rig Steve officially done and parked with a fuel island view at 4:32 pm. A watch party started.
Numbers: 205 miles to receiver, delivery is Monday morning 2/2. We covered 309 miles. Yesterday’s score was 1020 points with one gold star. Rank was 518.
Clocks: 3:47 hours on 11 hr, 4:45 hours on 14 hr, 9:16 hours on 70 hr. Gain back 7:31 hours tomorrow morning.
