Big Rig Travels broadcast day began at 9:23 CST at Love’s in Gary, Indiana. I-80 east continuing our trip to Streetsboro, OH.
Rolled through a toll booth plaza at 9:52 CST near Portage, IN.
Our time changed from 10:28 CST to 11:28 EST near New Carlisle, IN.
We stopped at Elkhart, IN at 11:58 EST at the I-80 travel plaza. Steve had story time as we left at 12:15.
BRS points out “rolled over big rig” near Shipshewana, IN as we rolled more issues appeared in the median as 12:37 EST. What a mess.
Welcome to Ohio near Eldon at 13:22 EST.
Stopped at Love’s at 14:35 EST near Perryburg, OH, did the shuffle in the fuel line, Steve announced “yellow pole alert”. We topped off the trailer tank, grabbed fresh coffee and pulled off a 30 minute break while doing all that.
A big rig was parked partially blocking the on ramp back onto I-80, BRS said, “of all the places to park, lets get out of this zoo.”
Arrival at 17:12 EST at the receiver near Streetsboro, OH. Drop and hook completed, another trip safely in the books at 17:49 EST. The next trip starts now.
Arrived at next shipper at 18:31 EST near Cleveland, OH at light snow was falling.
Drop and hook complete at 19:09 EST, status changed to on time to delivery with our 3rd trailer of the day we continued our trip towards Anderson, IN.
Stopped at the Pilot near Avon, OH at 19:30 EST to get a CAT scale, we were legal. Searched, but could not find any free parking. Continued on I-80 westbound.
Numbers: 195 miles 313 km to receiver. We covered 473 miles 761 km rolled out of Indiana, and into Ohio, visiting two customers and hooked to three trailers today. We are 402 gallons to go to Love’s Platinum status with 14 days to go.
Clocks: 1:53 hours on 11 hr, 2:46 hours on 14 hr, 54:15 hours on 70 hr. Do not gain back hours tomorrow morning.
