Big Rig Travels day began at 4:58 EST. It was 29 degrees and dark at the Love’s near Ripley, WV. Fresh coffee and then continuing our trip to Greensboro, NC. We have 261 miles to go.
No sighting of road crew Greg Treadway as we pass the Beckley Travel Plaza.
Love’s stop near Bastian, WV at 7:45 am. Coffee, sausage and cheese egg waffle and cheetos and M&Ms were acquired.
“Alrighty, welcome to Virginia” at 7:35 am after exiting a tunnel on I-77 near Rocky Gap.
Entering the big Walker Tunnel at 8:19 am near Bland, VA.
Big Rig Steve officially done at 9:52 am at the brand new Love’s near Rural Hall, NC. It was 33 degrees and sunshine. Change in the delivery appointment resulted in us stopping. Appointment changed to tomorrow morning now as we missed our 8:30 am original appointment due to Blue Comet’s issues yesterday setting us behind schedule. We are at the closest truck stop to the receiver.
Numbers: 25 miles to receiver. We covered 238 miles.
Clocks: 6:35 hours on 11 hr, 8:33 hours on 14 hr, 46:18 hours on 70 hr. Do not gain back hours tomorrow morning.
