Title: Trip going well until reaching Kimball, NE

Big Rig Travels broadcast day began at 9:30 CST at Sapp Brothers, near Council Bluffs, IA.  It was a gloomy, dreary start to the morning.

Welcome to Nebraska at 9:46 CST as we crossed the Missouri River into Omaha.

BRS made a quick pitstop at 10:03 CST at the QT in western Omaha to pick up three donuts and good coffee.

The Blue Comet received a bypass of the mass/weigh station near Greenwood, NE at 10:40 CST as we passed a long line of big rigs stopped waiting in line.  It appeared it paid for us to stop at the QT earlier to avoid being in that mess.

BRS points out a big rig in tow stopped on the side of the road at 11:42 CST near York, NE.

BRS points out the arch near Kearney, NE and just after we go under, sunshine appears.

We stopped at the Loves, near Sidney, NE at 15:14 MST for coffee after driving nearly 400 miles non-stop.  We also finished our 30 minute break.  BRS chatted with road crew answering the usual questions as we finished our break.

Just after we passed Kimball, NE at 16:27 MST, BRS had heard a concerning noise, pulled over the check the tires.  A trailer tire was starting to loosen it’s outer tread.  BRS decided to limp ahead slowly to get ahead to get to next available exit.

At 16:38 MST, Paul C road crew was on the overpass waving.  BRS honked as we went under the bridge.  We had covered 453 miles
