At 9:23 CST Big Rig Steve reminisced about many years back going on a motorcycle trip on Talimina National scenic byway. It’s 87 km (54 miles) long, running from Talihina (in Oklahoma) to Mena (in Arkansas).

At 9:31 CST, Steve was also remembering delivering somewhere in New York state (he thought) and had  discovered a historic lock and dam that he had roamed around and explored around the hidden gem.

We crossed the Arkansas River for the fourth time with one more to go this trip.  9:33 CST near Weber Falls OK we rolled onto I-40 east bound. We went passed the Loves.

Near Vian, OK at 9:43 CST passed another Loves and Big Rig Steve pointed out that this Loves location was not for trucks. The red bar across the top of the sign was the indicator. Yes, apparently several early Loves locations were for cars only.

At 10:16 CST near Van Buren “Welcome to Arkansas” sign.

Big Rig Steve announced at 12:41 CST that calendars are on sale on the Bigrigtravels.com website.

We rolled into North Little Rock, AR on I-40  at 12:30 CST we found the rain.

Wheatley, AR the rain stopped and dry roads returned. Big Rig Steve noted the fields being flooded so most had been a lot of rain here.

The (BC ) Blue Comet was shiny clean from the free truck wash today.

Numbers: 476 miles 766 km to delivery. Delivery still not scheduled so no hurry to push on after all, it’s a Saturday.  400 miles 643 km covered today as we rolled out of Oklahoma and across Arkansas. Clocks: 4:25 on the 11 hour, 6:00 on the 14 hour, 11:17 on the 70 hour. Gain back 7:17 hours tomorrow morning.
