Phoenix Running around

Howdy and good Saturday afternoon from Phoenix, Arizona. The last few days has been a little strange with changed trips, changed appointments, delays, etc. We have made our delivery in Phoenix from California, and have two local deliveries in the Phoenix Metroplex this weekend. The crummy thing is they both are late at night! (Think 11pm and 2am!) We have our third trip as well that picks up in the middle of the night Sunday. We will then get to head back Northwest from our current location for that delivery.

It sure is hot, our first 100F degree day this year! The snowman camera fails when it gets so hot and the sun is boiling the electronics….so as soon as the sun drops behind us I can turn it back on. Not sure about the next Radio Show just yet. Sure, I want to do one, but we will see how it goes. Even though there will be no broadcasting during these two local metro trips, I will still update the status bar under the trip sign.

  1. They(your bosses) know you can handle these trips. Because you are responsible and reliable and a real go getter. You get things done. About your electronics. Isn’t there something you can cover them with, like a shade of some sort? By the cover not touching the electronics, just to shade them. And your Radio Show most likely can wait. Its way too hot for you to be sitting in your truck when the temperature is so high. Its a shame these truck stops don’t have shade for all the truckers. It’s definitely not safe. Take care of yourself Steve.

  2. Thanks for the update, Steve! Whatever you decide on the radio show is fine with me – as it is, I would bet with the rest of the crew! Take care!

  3. Seems like it’s been a while since you have been to the Phoenix area! Missed the run today as we were at a ball game but no 100° here just a refreshing 75° and low humidity 🙂 I don’t know how that happened on a weekend!

  4. hi Steve doing a great job 🙂 i happin to live in the state of Arizona 100 degrees is hot i happin to be busy myself 🙂 when i can i watch your live streams and comment when you pull over for the night course you got such a big crew its hard to say everyone who is on the live chat but i understand 🙂 ok keep on trucking and look forward to your next live stream thank you have a great one

  5. Gotta do what you gotta do! I see you tried to sneak through Indio and Thousand Palms before it hit 110 plus yesterday.

  6. Miss the long runs but just be sure to stay hydrated with WATER not just coffee. We got transferred from ILL to Luke there in Glendale and the folks had to warn us to watch the heat as we thought it was nice walking weather. I was out there a couple of years ago and if I recall correctly my sinus’ dried up so hope yours have as well. Stay healthy and take care, so many wheels on the roadways there now it is crazy.

    1. My grandmother had to keep buckets of water in her house when she lived in Tempe because it was so dry and by the end of a couple of days the water would be evaporated because the air is so dry, it’ll suck up water like a vampire.

  7. I am rooting for a paid reset. Looks like we have a shot at it. But what do I know? I usually check the website for trip information and have my own map here for traveling. I did look this morning and saw the truck in the islands…hahahaha Got a kick out of that. Was not no my map here. Enjoy the beach and nice ocean while your there hahahaha
