Big Rig Steve officially done at 6:08 pm safely parked near Knoxville, Tennessee, 82 degrees.
Big Rig Travels broadcast day began at 10:25 am, 72 degrees and cloudy. BRS gets fresh coffee at the racetrack near Conley, Georgia.
BRS advised at 10:36 am, how delivery went last night. He made it here by 11:30 pm, found the last spot available.
Explained as we left, that we have the whole weekend to do this baby trip. Our alternative was to sit all weekend near Atlanta.
Stopped at the Love’s near Calhoun, GA at 12:16 pm.
Arrival at the shipper at 1:47 pm near Chattanooga, TN to wait for our 3:00 pm live load appointment. A watch party starts.
Loading completed at 3:28 pm. Status changed to on time to delivery. Started our trip to Erlanger, Kentucky.
Needed to stop at the Pilot near Cleveland, TN to visit the CAT scale for a mass-weigh check at 4:22 pm. “We are legal, we had 200 pounds to spare on our drives and 50 pounds to spare on our trailer tandems.”
Next stop was at the Love’s at 4:42 pm for fuel for the Blue Comet, 55 gallons and hot dogs, buy 1 get 1 free.
Numbers: 259 miles to receiver. We covered 221 miles including one customer rolling from Georgia into Tennessee. 366 gallons to gold status.
Clocks: 5:34 hours on 11 hr, 5:36 hours on 14 hr, 39:34 hours on 70 hr. Do not gain back hours tomorrow morning.
