Big Rig Steve officially done for the day at safely parked near Cheyenne, Wyoming at 20:04 MDT.
Title: A day of weigh stations
Big Rig Travels broadcast day began at 8:57 MDT from Jerome, Idaho. He reports Road Crew visit prior to broadcast start with a gift of cheetos and onions for his hot dogs. BRT drives onto I-84 ready to head east for his first of three 600 mile days.
9:49 MDT BRT stops at Loves at Heyburn, ID for fuel saying with are “on fumes”. Announced we are 23 gallons to gold.
10:19 MDT Declo, ID weigh station call in, no problems
11:05 MDT Welcome to Utah.
12:04 MDT Perry, UT weigh station #2. Thankfully half-bypass
13:02 MDT at Coalville, UT transitioned to I-80
13:30 MDT Evanston, UT/WY weigh station #3, this time needing to stop and present paperwork. BRS is prepared and we are on our way quickly. We are now in Wyoming.
14:08 MDT high speed chase witnessed passing BC near Fort Bridger, WY with multiple law enforcement vehicles pursuing the blue car. End of chase noted when traffic stopped at 14:23 near Lyman, WY. Vehicle in the median, luckily we stayed out of that mess.
15:16 MDT Green River, WY BRS takes his 30 minute break at the Loves. Fuel and coffee stop and a quick visit from Road Crew Bronco Willy.
Numbers : 1140 mile 1835 km to the receiver, we covered 603 miles 970 km rolling out of Idaho through Utah and most of Wyoming.
Clocks : 12 minutes:37 seconds on 11 hr, 1:26 hours on 14 hr, 50:15 hours on 70 hr, do not gain back hours tomorrow morning.
Plan to get rolling around 7:00 MDT, give or take, tomorrow morning.
