Daily Summary for 8/21/2024

Free night at home.

Big Rig Steve officially done at 14:54 CDT safely parked near HQ Belvidere, Illinois.

Big Rig Travels broadcast day began at 9:16 CDT near Edwardsville, Illinois.  Status changed to on time to delivery, starting our trip to Elkhorn, Wisconsin.  

Storytime with BRS started at 9:22 CDT.

Weigh mass check on the CAT scale at the Speedway near Granite City, IL.  At 9:28 CDT BRS “processing processing processing, we are a whole lot less than what the bills say. No where near what they say we should be.”

BRS noted that he had updated the 70 hour clock and tried to update the mapping system, but was unsuccessful.  Steve said we are trying a new map system and so far Oshyan is the only one that can make it work.

Fuel stop near Monroe Center, IL at the Love’s, filling all tanks.

After arriving at headquarters, and the closing theme song had finished at 15:00 CDT, BRS was busy cleaning up the inside of Blue Comet for our free night at home.

Delivery is tomorrow at noon as a live unload, 43 miles away. Plans to take back roads to receiver.

Numbers: 43 miles to receiver.  We 295 covered miles rolling within Illinois, including our customer visit this morning.  Our 8 day summary is 2166 miles. “Not bad at all”. 403 gallons to diamond and 2 gallons to DEF bonus.

Clocks: 5:19 hours on 11 hr,  6:53 hours on 14 hr,  36:23 hours on 70 hr.  Do not gain back hours tomorrow morning.
