Daily Summary for 7/9/2024

Two trips

Big Rig Steve officially done at 15:21 EDT safely parked near the Pilot in Erie, Pennsylvania in paid parking.

Big Rig Travels broadcast day began at 4:13 EDT leaving Jonestown, PA with our new load on a short trip.

At 4:59 EDT stream resumes at the Flying J near Carlisle for coffee.

Arrived at Mechanicsburg, PA at 5:17 EDT at the receiver.  Second in line waiting for them to open at 5:30 EDT for his 6:00 appointment live unload.  Finally get through gate at 5:56 EDT.

Stream resumes at 7:11 EDT after the unload, he returns to the Flying J to find a battery, then blowout the trailer before the next load.  Shipper is on the other side of town to pick up a preloaded trailer that is ready and waiting early.

Completed the drop and hook at the shipper at 7:51 EDT.  At 8:41 EDT he reports he is extremely heavy, and hoping he is not overweight.

Arrived at the CAT scale for weight/mass at the Petro near Carlisle at 9:08 EDT.  “Well now…” BRS adjusts wheels and back onto the scale. “Woohoo!! 33480, 33980, wow, that’s legal.  One shot, fixed it, cool beans.”

Welcome aboard at 9:27 EDT the longest road trip ever.  At least not overweight.

Several tunnels in route to Erie, PA, almost one after another.

New stream at 11:51 EDT near Mount Pleasant, PA.  Stopped at the service plaza near Hunker, PA at 11:56 EDT.

Stopped at the Love’s near Slippery Rock, PA for fuel at 13:36 then back only I-79, was able to get hot dog with red onions too.  

Spotted road crew JDub near Saegertown, PA at 14:48 waving from overpass.

Numbers:  1.5 miles to receiver.  We covered 411 miles including, picking up a load, delivered a load and picked up another.

Clocks: 1:34 hours on 11 hr,  1:24 hours on 14 hr,  57:55 hours on 70 hr.  Do not gain back hours tomorrow morning.
