Atlanta Bound

Big Rig Steve broadcast officially done at 19:22 EDT where BRS is checking in at receiver near Palmetto, Georgia.  No cameras allowed , so stream is stopped.

Big Rig Travels broadcast day began at 7:48 EDT at Sheetz in Mount Jackson, Virginia.  Steve advised “88 cent coffee, can’t beat that with a stick.”  Today we continue our trip to Palmetto, Georgia.  Sunny start for today.

New stream at 9:43 EDT, near Buchanan, Virginia.

Experienced the first of many slow downs near Salem, Virginia at 10:17 EDT.

Love’s near Max Meadows, VA at 11:08 EDT for coffee exchange, “That’s a busy Love’s and the AC is broken and the coolers weren’t working.  You’d think they would get that fixed.”

Another slow down near Lambsburg, VA at 12:02 EDT.  BRS points out burning brakes on a big rig on the side of the road that he had smelled for some time prior.

Welcome to North Carolina at 12:06 EDT near Lowgap.  Then a story time about downhill braking was discussed.

Green light at 12:13 EDT at the mass weigh station, bypass was given.

Another stoppage near Mooresville, NC at 13:21 EDT.

Welcome to South Carolina at 13:25 EDT.

Love’s near Blacksburg, SC stop fuel for both Blue Comet and the refer.  466 gallons total.  Also a road crew meet up with TJ and Scott which was our 30 minute break for the day.

BRS points out a peach water tower at 15:16 EDT near Gaffney, SC.

Near Greenville, SC at 16:00 EDT, BRS needed to stop due to an alarm signifying a potential issue with a tractor tire.  Nothing was found abnormal, so he continued onwards.

Welcome to Georgia at 16:51 EDT, our fourth state for the day.

Numbers:  0 miles to receiver.  We covered 587 miles rolling through VA, NC, SC and GA.

Clocks: no numbers discussed, but know that available driving minutes were limited.  It was suspected that he would try to find parking near by for the night.
