Daily Summary for 6/10/2024

Bonus time today

Big Rig Steve officially done at 20:29 EDT safely parked on customer property on site parking, done for the day for real.  BRS began testing wireless microphones. “Now I’m frustrated, don’t know what is wrong.”  He turned on snow man camera.

Big Rig Travels broadcast day began at 7:47 CDT near North Lake, Illinois.  It was a mostly cloudy start.  BRS had a free weekend at the house, Blue Comet had spent weekend parked waiting for today’s trip to shipper near North Brook, IL.  BRS states “Alright who’s going to pay for parking?”  $75 for 3 days.  at 7:50 CDT status changed to Heading to shipper.  Fancy maneuvering to get through construction to west side.

Arrived at shipper in Northbook, IL at 8:26 CDT.  Status changed to on time to delivery at 9:33 CDT to Columbus, Ohio.  Stopped at Chicago Southland Lincoln Oasis at 10:35 CDT. 

Welcome to Indiana at 11:18 CDT near Munster/Hampton.

Road crew meet up near Remington, IN at the Pilot at 12:35.  Will W from Connecticut and his grandparents.

Arrival near West Jefferson, OH at 18:28 EDT at the Sheetz, parked with a fuel island view with our first end of day at 18:30 EDT.

Bonus time:  Leaving Sheetz at 20:06 EDT near West Jefferson, OH.   “Alright so, surprise, surprise”  BRS states “I did some research that delivery has on site parking and some get early delivery, so I thought we will go there.” “Let’s do it.” ‘Why not, right?”

Once he arrived, did not go through numbers again.  “Just add the 17 miles and 30 minutes to hours.”

Numbers:  0 miles 0 km to receiver.  We covered 406 miles 653 km rolling out of Illinois, through Indiana and into Ohio.  1793 miles in last 8 days.

Clocks (estimate after second stop): 2:42 hours on 11 hr,  3:10 hours on 14 hr,  60:33 hours on 70 hr.  Do not gain back hours tomorrow morning. 

No alarm clock ⏰ tomorrow, live unload at 12:00 EDT.   BRS says we “do have our next trip, will not be fun, but not wanting to turn anything down.”  It “will get us out of the Ohio and Illinois loop, that we seem to be stuck in.”Choose the BRT YouTube channel alarm bell to receive notifications for the start of our broadcast.
