Daily Summary for 5/10/2024

Freaky Friday

Big Rig Steve officially done for the day, safely parked near Jackson, Virginia.

Big Rig Travels broadcast day began at 9:37 EDT at the Thomas Edison Service Plaza at Woodbridge Township, New Jersey. BRS first order of business was getting coffee at the 7-11 convenience store.  It was cloudy, overcast and drizzly damp start of the day.

9:50 EDT BRS said “Freaky Friday”.  Slept in due to the raining.  Blue Comet starts navigating its way through the congested parking lot.  It was a tight fit getting past the Tropicana big rig.

John259 is greeted by BRS today at 10:20 EDT, I’ve been getting lots of questions about where you’ve been.  All the road crew are glad to have our English moderator back.

BRS advised at 10:24 EDT, received an email last night from the “Buy Me a Coffee” (BMC) group, he states that BRT is in the top 2% of BMC earnings.  Thank you crew for your support of BRT.  They want BRS to do some testing of some features.  As a reminder, BRS says, that BMC is available on the BRT website to help pay for broadcasting equipment.

Steve pointed out at 10:35 EDT, “Cyber truck on the left, in the wild, a real life cyber truck on the loose, in the hammer lane.”

New stream starts at 11:08 EDT near Fort Washington, PA.  Arrival at 11:19 EDT for the road crew meet up near the King of Prussia, PA service plaza.  Jonathan RInda and Waltmoney are there to meet up.  Jonathan has his BRT road crew flag and his “Mash it” sweatshirt.  Success finally for Jonathan, congratulations, persistence pays off!!

New stream resumes at 11:44 EDT after pictures taken of the meet up, and they leave to have coffee.  He continues his trip to Stuarts Draft.

He completes drop and hook and has a quick meet up with Brian, Sam and Aggie at the Love’s, but no parking available so did need to continue on to find where he would stop for the night as he continued his next trip to Harrisburg, PA.  No numbers were addressed.

No alarm clock ⏰ tomorrow.   Choose the BRT YouTube channel alarm bell to receive notifications for the start of our broadcast.

Welcome to the constantly growing Big Rig Travels family. Big Rig Steve is glad to have you as part of the family.

Another good day for Big Rig Travels.

Welcome to Virginia.

Yes, if you have missed today you can replay some or all of today’s trip. Choose the YouTube channel icon at the bottom of the page on Bigrigtravels website and while you’re at the website check out the BRT store for BRT merchandise.

Addendum:  Road crew member spotted waving his BRT flag at Carlisle, PA.  Nice and visible using the flag, Steve was able to identify.

  1. Nice to have you back on the east coast and Pennsylvania! Think you’ll be coming through the Scranton area? I know Harrisburg is at least in the northeast direction (for now)!

  2. I am not seeing your current location on the video map on your website. The videos appear to be from 2022 era. I do see the current location on Snowman. But something is not right. If I go to Youtube the video shows your current location correctly. Just on your website it shows wrong.

    • Do you have an approximate time?

      • 2:17:11 … the link i posted should start at that time (t=8231 seconds at the end of the link) …sorry it it doesnt work
