Daily Summary for 12/9/2024

Working down our clocks

Big Rig Travels broadcast day began at 8:18 am at the QT near Adairsville, Georgia.  It was 49 degrees and rainy.  We are continuing our trip to London, Kentucky.  “Let’s go play in the rain, been raining all night long.”  Back onto I-75 north.

Welcome to Tennessee near Eastridge at 9:16 am.

Weigh station near Cleveland, TN, “all trucks must stop. Weigh station closed.  I guess we don’t gotta stop.” at 9:39 am.

“All right, crossing over the Tennessee River” at 10:27 am near Loudon, TN.

A slow down and then a stoppage on I-75 near the same town at 10:31 am. 

Another slow down near Lenoir City, TN at 10:39 am due to an accident near a tree trimming crew on the right shoulder.

Weigh mass station at 10:49 am near Farragut, TN.  “Pulling everybody in.”  Drive through with no issues.

“Alright, welcome to state line, see the ferris wheel on the top of the hill, up there, up on the hill?” at 11:40 am.

“OK, welcome to Kentucky” near Williamsburg at 12:01 pm.

Zelda speaks up at 12:28 pm near Corbin, KY, Steve said “Where did you come from?”

Weigh mass station drive through with no issues at 12:32 pm.

London, KY exit off of I-75 at 12:40 pm, Steve is questioning why Zelda is talking, even though he has her on mute.  He also addresses the formerly smiley face truckstop, now being a BP.  Story time breaks out about parking chaos one time in Rawlings, WY.  This is prompted from Steve originally pulling into an open spot when someone else is starting to back into the same spot.  Steve ends up doing the shuffle to the next spot over.  Big Rig Steve officially done at 12:45 pm safely parked there for the time being. Watch party starts (ends at 8:20 pm).

Numbers:  3 miles to receiver, will leave at 2:10 am (12/10).  Will not broadcast until after delivery is complete.  We do not have a next trip yet.  We covered 252 miles rolling out of Georgia, through Tennessee and into Kentucky.

Clocks: 6:42 hours on 11 hr,  9:09 hours on 14 hr,  1:44 hours on 70 hr.  Gain back 8:55 hours tomorrow morning.
