Daily Summary for 12/8/2024

Nice day for a drive in Southern Georgia

Big Rig Travels broadcast day began at 9:16 am near Pinehurst, Georgia, I-75 rest area where we had spent the night.  It was 41 degrees and mostly clear skies.  We are continuing our trip to Moultrie, GA.  

Love’s stop for coffee at 9:37 am near Cordele, GA

Broadcast ends as we arrive near the shipper at 11:05 am.  

Broadcast resumes at 12:18 pm as we are leaving the shipper.  Status changed to “on time to delivery”.  After we drive a ways, he explains what is happening as we leave with our load many hours early.  Steve verified the “bad” trailer was still working and certified as road ready.  He then was  able to pick up his preloaded trailer that wasn’t due to be ready until later tonight.  It was ready early.  

Back at the Love’s near Cordele, GA for coffee exchange, hot dogs with onions, and a Love’s branded 2L water.  We are 457 miles to go.

Big Rig Steve officially done at 5:12 pm safely parked near Adairsville, GA at the QT.

Numbers:  250 miles to receiver, delivery at 3:20 am on Tuesday (12/10).  We covered 346 miles rolling within Georgia, including a refer trailer troubleshooting and a drop/hook.

Clocks: 3:51 hours on 11 hr,  5:35 hours on 14 hr,  6:54 hours on 70 hr.  Do not gain back hours tomorrow morning, will gain some hours on Tuesday.
