Big Rig Travels broadcast day began at 2:28 pm at the Flying J near Graham, North Carolina. It was 47 degrees and sunny. There was a short watch party prior to leaving.
US-1 near Henderson, NC, parked on the shoulder of an off ramp at 4:00 pm to wait to get closer to appointment time as we cannot arrive earlier than 1 hour prior to the 5:45 pm appointment time. “Sit here for a couple of minutes, you all don’t mind, do ya?”
Broadcast ends near arrival to shipper at 4:43 pm, as cameras cannot go in to receiver. Broadcast resumes at 8:10 pm after BRS finishes his live unload and was leaving customer. Another trip safely completed.
Next trip picks up in Stuarts Draft, VA (preloaded trailer already waiting for him), then he will head to delivery in Edwardsville, IL. A drop whenever we get there, a 900 mile trip.
I-85 at 8:40 pm, welcome to Virginia near Boydton.
End of the day is at Love’s at 9:00 pm near South Hill, VA. He is safely parked and watch party begins. Steve mutes the watch party at 9:38 pm so he can go to bed. Mods are in charge.
Numbers: We covered 109 miles rolling North Carolina and into Virginia.
Clocks: 8:16 hours on 11 hr, 7:08 hours on 14 hr, 15:40 hours on 70 hr. Gain back 7:06 hours tomorrow morning.
