Daily Summary for 10/21/2024

Two States…Twice

Big Rig Travels broadcast day began at 10:33 am CDT near Coppertown, Tennessee where it was 64 degrees and sunny.  Continuing our trip to Forest Park, GA.

Nashville skyline in view at 10:56 am as the traffic slowdown began.

Exit off of I-24 at 12:10 pm near Hillsboro, TN.  BRS stopped the “pinging” sound prior to going into the Love’s for coffee.

Mandatory brake check stop at 1:00 pm near Monteagle, TN. 1851 foot elevation.  We begin the 45 mph maximum down the mountain.

Welcome to Georgia at 2:31 pm EDT near Trenton, GA crossing into the Eastern Time Zone.

Welcome back to Tennessee at 2:35 pm near Chattanooga, TN then back into Georgia at 2:54 pm near Ringgold, GA.

Rest area stop at 2:56 pm near Indian Springs, GA.

Big Rig Steve officially done at 5:55 pm EDT safely parked at the Racetrack near Ellenwood, Georgia, parked in a four hour parking spot, waiting for our 9:00 pm delivery live unload.  Steve will not broadcast delivery as we are just a short distance away. Will resume broadcasting tomorrow as we have our next trip, a 3:00 pm live load near Chattanooga, TN.

Numbers:  just a few miles to receiver.  We covered 296 miles rolling in and out of Tennessee and Georgia.

Clocks: 5:10 hours on 11 hr,  7:00 hours on 14 hr,  46:14 hours on 70 hr.  Do not gain back hours tomorrow morning.
