Daily Summary for 10/19/2024

Welcome Back to the Highway

Big Rig Travels broadcast day began at 11:37 am, 66 degrees and sunny.  He is Bobtail Bob as we leave Belvidere, Illinois.  Freezer is packed and full.  BRS sets out on  backroads where we can see the fall colors.

Our first stop is at Love’s near Hampshire, IL at 12:15 pm where he gets some Love’s coffee for the trip.

Arrived at the shipper at 1:16 pm near North Aurora, IL.  Status changed to on time to delivery at 1:44 pm.

Welcome to Indiana at 2:48 pm.

Stopped at the Love’s near Gary, IN at 3:03 pm, Cat Scale weigh mass check.  We are legal beagles.

At 6:40 pm BRS announces the results from the nationwide inspections on May 14th and 15th of this year and discusses with the road crew.  

Big Rig Steve officially done at 6:43 pm safely parked near Whitestown, Indiana.  It is 68 degrees.

Numbers:  40 miles to receiver, we have a 7:00 am live unload appointment.  We covered 259 miles rolling out of Illinois and into Indiana including picking up a preloaded trailer.  236 gallons to Love’s Gold status for November.

Clocks: 5:17 hours on 11 hr,  7:06 hours on 14 hr,  63:21 hours on 70 hr.  Do not gain back hours tomorrow morning.
