Daily Summary for 1/9/2025

Working our way to delivery

Big Rig Travels broadcast day began at 9:05 am EST at the Sheetz near Groveport, Ohio.  Continuing our trip to Edwardsville, IL.

Stopped at the rest area at 12:46 pm near Plainfield, IN.

A stop a little later at the Love’s at 1:09 pm near Mooresville, IN.  Stream ended when under the canopy, and started a short time later.  Steve reports that fuel was obtained for the Blue Comet, along with hotdogs and onions.

Welcome to Illinois along I-70 at 1:31 pm near Dennison.

Three big rigs spotted by Steve with issues, 2 pm, near Greenup, IL.

Broadcast ends as we approach the receiver for check in at 3:54 pm near Edwardsville, IL.

Big Rig Steve broadcast officially done with Steve still making delivery afterwards. Next trip is scheduled to take us to Georgia.

Numbers:  0 miles to receiver.  We covered about 416 miles rolling out of Ohio, through Indiana and into Illinois.

Clocks: with delivery still to occur there were the following hours.  4:00 hours on 11 hr,  5:39 hours on 14 hr,  39:15 hours on 70 hr.  Do not gain back hours tomorrow morning. 

Steve advised he plans to start around 7:00 am, which will give us 3 hours to make the 2 hour trip to the next shipper in Missouri.

  2. + at 10:10 AM EST, there was quick coffee stop at Love’s close to Springfield, Ohio (Interstate 70, exit 59). Just for completing daily summary:)👋👍
    I don’t know, who is doing this Daily Summaries but I appreciate it very much! I can’t watch all the Steve’s drives so this summaries are very helpfull!

  3. Tomas, thanks for the addition. We can’t always watch the whole streams either (we both work), but we try to catch as much as we can, knowing that some of stops/stories/comments from Steve are missed. Glad to have road crew like you that can add to the summary.
