Big Rig Travels broadcast day began at 6:19 am, it was 15 degrees and dark in Mount Crawford, Virginia. Live broadcasting while unloading at receiver. Steve answers RC questions during the unload watch party. Broadcast ends at 7:55 am as Steve noted to viewers that a premiere would be starting shortly of yesterday’s trip (1/19).
First premiere from 1/20, starts at 9:25 am as we are leaving delivery at Mount Crawford, VA. It is 16 and sunny, starting our trip to the next shipper near Stuarts Draft, VA.
Stopped at 10:07 am at the Love’s near Greenville, VA to blow out the trailer, top off the refer tank and grab fresh coffee.
Then, onto one of Steve’s favorite backroads to the shipper. Broadcast ends at 10:50 am upon arrival to complete the drop and hook of a preloaded trailer that was ready yesterday.
The second premiere begins at 11:37 am as BRS was adjusting the tandems after leaving the shipper in Stuarts Draft, VA. Status was changed to “on time to delivery” as we start our trip to Palmyra, PA.
We return to the Love’s to get a Cat scale check and we are legal.
Stop at a rest area near Verona, VA at 12:18 pm. BRS needed to warm up his coffee in the microwave.
BRS “ok, welcome to West Virginia” at 1:56 pm near Bunker Hill.
Steve advises at 2:21 pm near Williamsport, “Welcome to Maryland. Third state of the day, crossing over the Potomac River.”
“Ok, welcome to Pennsylvania, fourth state of the day” near Antrim Township.
Stopped at a rest area near Penn Township, PA at 3:11 pm to check the refer fuel tank.
Steve runs into a stoppage on I-81 at 3:21 pm near South Middleton Township, PA. “Sign said crash 3 miles ahead.” A short time later, Steve stated at 3:47 pm, special people are driving on the shoulder. “Two big tow trucks, wow, one mistake, that’s all it takes.”
After getting through that mess, ends the day at a congested Flying J, “can’t get in unless you go over the scale, wow.” Broadcast ends at 4:18 pm.
Steve had noted later in the evening on X/Twitter that he had a tire issue that would need to be taken care of prior to delivery tomorrow.

At the last few seconds of the broadcast today, Steve yells, Ow, my eye! Is he okay?
If traffic is moving well, you can see four states in less than 45 minutes on the 81.
Those states are from South to North: Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. Eight or so hours of travel means you could include New York as a fifth state in one day.
BTW: I think is is possible to visit all six New England states in one day, provided you use multiple highways with the main one being I-95 which passes through five of the six states.
