Daily Summary 6/16/2023

Big Rig Steve officially done for the day for the second time today safely parked near West Sacramento after refer repairs..

Title: Big Rig Star ⭐️ conquers Donner Pass

Big Rig Travels broadcast day began 7:03 PDT at Gloden Gate Truck stop near Lovelock, Nevada.

As we rolled out back on to I-80 7:13 PDT, Steve replayed the dream that he had experienced early this morning. Yes, it’s worth listening to the playback. BRS said that we thought he started the day at 6:30 am, but he had been driving in the dream since before 4:00 am.

8:15 PDT coffee stop at Loves ❤️ near Fernley, NV.

9:08 PDT was our first crossing of the Truckee River between Reno and Verdi NV. Many more crossings would occur, as Blue Comet slowly but surely worked its way up the pass. The first time ever broadcasting live, with no issues, except at the perfect time when we were at the California AG inspection station and the Audio blip (due to the canopy) kept the cargo from being known to the Road Crew.

We stopped at the parking area at the summit to check the refer as alarm had been detected. This was to become an issue later in the day.

Yes, Starlink performed well the whole trip over the pass.

We arrived at the 49er Truck stop at 11:56 PDT for required fuel stop and then parking for the day. Watch party began.

First stream ended without Steve realizing that it had stopped and while it was down, the refer issue returned so BRS had to go to get repairs completed which nullified getting out on the scooter to broadcast Sacramento.

Second stream on 4G only began at the repair lot. Yes, we have already become spoiled by Starlink.

15:59 PDT BRS described that BRT is at times just like a soap opera. Things can be going great and all of a sudden the plot changes. Yes, also worth playing back on the second stream of the day.

Numbers :81 mile 130 km to the receiver appointment at Port of Oakland 5:00 PDT we covered  226 miles 362  km today rolling out of Nevada into California.

Clocks : 6:16 hours on 11 hr, 8:03  hours on 14 hr,  54:39 hours on 70 hr, do not gain back  hours tomorrow morning.

Plan is to leave for delivery at 2:00 PDT tomorrow morning

Another good day for Big Rig Travels
