Big Rig Travels Monday began at 7:41 am. It is 75 degrees and sunny. We start the day getting coffee in Upper Sandusky, OH. “We can sit here or sit there” referring to the shipper, possibly to get loaded early. We roll out on SR67 and ST53 and eventually onto US20.
Arrived at the shipper at 8:59 am, 11 hours early near Fremont, OH. End of recording.
Second recording starts at 12:24 pm. “Outta here eight hours early. How awesome is that?” It was 80 degrees and partly cloudy. “That means we can do the trip during the day, not overnight. Awesome, awesome!”
Run into rain at 12:47 pm.
Cat Scale at 1:11 pm near Perrysburg, OH at the Love’s. We ended up re-weighing after adjustment, we were at 33680 on the drives and 33700 on the trailer. 43,500 pounds on the load. Afterwards, fueled up a full tank and went into store for coffee, and got cheddar hotdogs as well.
At 2:45 pm, welcome to Indiana near Angola.
At 3:54 pm, stopped near Elkhart, IN on the I80/I90 Indiana Tollway travel plaza.
Near Southbend, IN, welcome to Central Time Zone at 3:34 pm.
Slowdown near Gary, IN at 4:27 pm.
Welcome to Illinois at 5:09 pm near Lansing.
Welcome to Wisconsin at 6:30 pm near Pleasant Prairie, WI.
Big Rig Steve officially done near the Village of Somers, WI at 6:42 pm at Kwik Trip truck stop. Steve noted it was an awesome day, starting with getting loaded so early.
Tomorrow night delivery. Four trips after this one.
Clocks: 2:58 hours on 11 hr, 4:30 hours on 14 hr, 57:32 hours on 70 hr. Do not gain back hours tomorrow morning.
