Daily Summary for 3/30/2025

Pontoon Beach, IL to Lebanon, OH

Big Rig Travels Sunday began at 9:53 am CDT.  It was 69 degrees and partly cloudy at the Flying J near Pontoon Beach, IL.  BRS said “Let’s go! They tore the restaurant down. Boo!  They tore the restaurant down.”

Welcome to Indiana at 12:42 pm near West Terre Haute.

Rest area drive through at 2:44 pm EDT, yes we are in Eastern Time Zone near Plain Field, IN.

Stopped on the on ramp back on to I-70 to check messages.  Resumed at 2:51 pm.

BRS states “Big Fed Ex hub on the left” at 2:57 pm near Indianapolis, IN.

We were on some rough roads, BRS advised “sometimes driving this truck through Indiana is like being on a wooden roller coaster” at 3:15 pm.

I-74, BRS passes Radier Express big rig near Fairland, IN at 3:28 pm. “Dude, watching TV, how can you watch TV and drive, seriously, a big old screen sitting right on the dash.  That’s why he was driving so slow, watching TV.”

Welcome to Ohio at 4:27 pm on I-74 near Harrison.  

“All right, crossing over the great Miami River” at 4:35 pm near Clevers, OH.

Arrival at the receiver at 5:18 pm near Trenton, OH.  Moved the tandems to the back of the trailer, pulled up to check in.  Recording ends at 5:27 pm.

Recording resumes at 6:04 pm, leaving the receiver Bobtail Bob, no empty trailer available.  Heading over to Aldi for supplies. Steve advised he got out of there without spending more than $30.  We are going to sit for an additional 7 minutes to complete our 30 minute break.

Arrival at the Flying J near Lebanon, OH.  Found bobtail parking, clock stopped at 7:30 pm.

BRS later completed a short livestream of storm watching at 9:05 pm EDT.  No issues, he didn’t get hit by a tornado.

As noted on the website (3/31): For the end of the month, we reach Platinum for April.  We were 442 gallons to Diamond at the end of the month.  Our DEF bonus was achieved.  

Clocks: 3:37 hours on 11 hr,  4:49 hours on 14 hr,  10:24 hours on 70 hr.  Gain back 4:34 hours tomorrow morning. 

No alarm clock ⏰ tomorrow.
