Driving in Georgia

Big Rig Travels broadcast day began at 6:36 am EST at the Truck Parking Club lot near Forest Park, Georgia.  It was 33 and dark.  We are starting our trip to Decatur, GA.

Stopped for coffee at 6:47 am at the RaceTrac Truckstop near Ellenwood, GA.  Required Steve to make some maneuvers to wiggle around a box truck parked in our way.

Broadcast ends near Stonecrest, GA at 7:22 am as Steve reaches the location of the drop and hook.  He also acquires his IFTA sticker for 2025 while he is here.

Broadcast resumes at 8:16 am, starting our trip to the receiver near Albany, GA.  Status changed to on time to delivery.

Steve points out “little patches of snow still here in Atlanta.”

Stopped at the Love’s near Cordele, GA at 10:50 am for coffee and a meet up with Andy occurs.

Back onto I-75 at 11:16 am.

Arrival at receiver at 12:00 pm for check in.  Backed into a dock door at 12:14 pm.  Steve is required to be inside during the offloading.  He leave the stream running until the camera overheated at 12:29 pm.  

Resumes at 12:43, delivery is completed. 

We start our trip towards Conyers, GA, our next shipper

Big Rig Steve officially done at 2:22 pm safely parked at the Love’s near Macon, GA.  It is sunny and 59 degrees.  He will continue the trip tomorrow, late in the afternoon as pick up is not until 6:30 pm.  A watch party commenced for the balance of the afternoon.

Numbers:  82 miles to shipper.  We covered 296 miles rolling in Georgia.  8 day summary is 2,626 miles.

Clocks: 4:57 hours on 11 hr,  5:35 hours on 14 hr,  5:35 hours on 70 hr.  Gain back 8:53 hours tomorrow morning. 

No alarm clock ⏰ tomorrow. Our next delivery is expected to be Sunday 1/19 in Virginia.
