Daily Summary for 9/17/2024

Big Rig Steve officially done at 5:00 pm safely parked near Plymouth, Wisconsin.  79 and sunshine, at the dirt lot next to the BP.

Delays continue

Big Rig Travels broadcast day began at 10:25 am near Northlake, Illinois.

Stopped at the Love’s at 10:44 am near Elk Grove Village.  During fueling he had a visit from one of his dogs (Stitch?) along with some Alien tape and stock up of some food.  62 gallons into the Blue Comet and refer fuel as well.

Called into the weigh station at 12:05 pm at Pleasant Prairie, WI.  BRS ends up being called for a full inspection at 12:12 pm, so broadcast is ended at that time.

Broadcast resumes at 1:27 pm, inspection is done and BRS is headed north again I-41/I-90 once again.

BRS noted, no problems as far as the driver goes, but two warning for the company including a tractor tire that Steve had tried to get fixed twice prior and a mismatched tire size on the trailer.

Status changed to running late to shipper, due to the unexpected delay.

At 1:54 pm arrived at the Blue Beacon near Caledonia, WI. BRS noted, “they do have a dedicated wash out bay…oooh look at the line, about 10 trucks ahead of us.”

A new stream began after the trailer washout was completed at 3:19 pm.

Arrived at the shipper at 4:42 pm near Plymouth, Wisconsin.  BRS had noted a few blocks before arriving, that he would $100 that the shipper is already closed.  Upon arrival, went to the doors and open hours were 7:30 to 2:30.  Who would schedule a delivery time the same minute they close?

Numbers:  1-2 miles to shipper.  We covered 146 miles rolling out of Illinois and into Wisconsin.

Clocks: 7:23 hours on 11 hr,  6:47 hours on 14 hr,  47:17 hours on 70 hr.  Do not gain back hours tomorrow morning.

Will check in a shipper tomorrow morning.  Choose the BRT YouTube channel alarm bell to receive notifications for the start of our broadcast. Check out Bigrigtravels Road Crew facebook page to see pictures captured from other road crew.
