Blue Comet’s wash day

Big Rig Steve officially done at 16:15 EDT safely parked near Ashland, Virginia.  BRS stopping 75 miles short of DC loop in efforts to avoid heavy traffic.

Big Rig Travels broadcast day began at 9:40 EDT near Haw River, North Carolina leaving the Flying J to go to the Blue Beacon for a truck and trailer wash and trailer washout.  Wash begins about 10:40 EDT.

At 11:05, near Meban, NC we rolls through weigh mass station with no issues.

BRS welcomes us to Louisburg, NC at 12:12 EDT “making its debut on BRT.”

He is checking in at shipper at 12:05 EDT for drop and hook. “Now our truck is going to get all dusty too” as he drives through dirt parking lot.  Status changed to “on time to delivery” at 12:45 EDT as we leave the shipper. 

Stop near La Crosse, VA for Cat Scale and fuel for all tanks at 13:52 EDT.

Numbers:  267 miles km to receiver for 14:00 EDT live unload.  We covered 213 miles km rolling out of North Carolina and into Virginia including a drop and hook.  8 day running total: 1718 miles.

Clocks: 6:16 hours on 11 hr,  6:46 hours on 14 hr,  49:24 hours on 70 hr.  Do not gain back hours tomorrow morning.
