Daily Summary for 4/18/2023

Big Rig Steve officially done for the day 16:40 EDT safely parked near Bentleyville, Pennsylvania.  BRS had perfect timing to grab one of the last remaining spots. 

Title: Early morning delivery alarm ⏰ 

Big Rig Travels broadcast day began at 12:37 EDT on the Cat Scale checking mass/weight near Obetz, OH. Hot coffee was also handled.

Yes, BRS had already had a full day as alarm clock was set for an early morning delivery. Yes, 4:30 EDT delivery. Also, picked up the next trip.

13:40 EDT: Clean up of the mess was needed after rough I-70 caused Hot dog onions and bun to bounce on to the floor of the Blue Comet.  Stopped at the rest area near Hebron, OH to address the mess. ☹️

15:15 EDT: Crossed the Ohio River and welcome to West Virginia, home state of BRT RC members FlyingWV and the weirdo in the ditch Greg Treadway, as BC was working hard climbing up out of the river valley.

15:30 EDT: stopped near Triadelphia, WV at TA truck stop to get fuel for BC.  Steve chatted with the  RC on BRT YouTube chat while waiting for fuel ⛽️ Island to clear. 

15:57 EDT: Welcome to Pennsylvania sign greeted us near West Alexander, PA

16:11 EDT: BRT Road Crew member Moose  waving at BRS  

17:12 EDT Road crew meet up with Big Rig Steve. Moose from Washington, PA receives “I met Big Rig Steve in person” BRT medallion. 

Numbers covered: 181 miles 291 km including delivery at receiver and pick up of this load at shipper. Rolled out of Ohio through West Virginia and into Pennsylvania. 265 miles 426 km to delivery tomorrow evening 18:00 EDT, live unload.

Clocks: 6:30 hours on the 11 hr, 6:58 hours on the 14 hr, 53:23 hours on the 70 hr, do not gain any hours until next Tuesday morning. Started the day at 741’ and ended at 846’ elevation.

Eight days running total 625 miles 1005 km .

No alarm clock ⏰ tomorrow morning.
