Status Update at midnight

Alright , just a few notes to enlighten you about tonight. The plan was to make our 8pm delivery in Longmont, Colorado tonight, then run back down to Denver to swap trailers then make another delivery in Cheyenne at 1am. Well, that was the plan anyway.

As we sat in the door, and the minutes ticked by, we closely watched the weather reports for our area as well as Cheyenne. Cheyenne is/was getting heavy snow and our 14 hour clock was winding down. So, it became clear we would run out of time and the weather wasn’t going to be helpful either. We finally got released from the docks at 1130pm but we have 54 cases of salad topping refused. Whenever there are overages, shortages, damages, or returns, we must file a claim with our company. In this case, the product is being returned simply because it wasn’t ordered, billed, or even listed on the bills.

So, the pressure is off and no worries about our 1am next delivery in Cheyenne tonight. No worries about the weather either at this point. We were very lucky and found a parking spot in the same lot as we waited when we first arrived. The first order of business is sleep, then tomorrow (Wednesday) we will head to Denver to drop off these return products. What happens after that, I’m not sure just yet. What I do know is, we got parked, and we no longer have to worry about the 1am delivery of the next trip. We will deal with tomorrow’s problems tomorrow. See ya after we wake up and get our break completed.
