Big Rig Steve officially done at 7:47 pm safely parked near Flying J in Haw River, North Carolina. 70.9 degrees.
Big Rig Travels broadcast day began at 10:47 am on the side of the road near Richmond, Virginia. Headed to get fuel for the trailer tank.
11:24 am near New Bohemia, VA, Love’s 60 gallons for Blue Comet and 20 gallons for the refer trailer. 421 to gold status for October.
11:54 am arrived at shipper and broadcast stopped.
Stream returns at 12:38 pm he is leaving shipper with an empty trailer after the load was cancelled. He heads out to Love’s until the bosses sort out what to do.
He gets parked by 12:55 pm and a watch party starts.
Road Crew Bob stops by to visit Steve at 1:46 pm as the rest of the road crew are able to watch.
Another reversal, now the load isn’t cancelled, so he heads back to the shipper at 3:39 pm, arriving there about 8 minutes later. The load is in a different trailer, so he drops his trailer and hooks up to the full trailer and leaves the shipper at 4:25 pm.
At 4:30 pm he is at the Cat Scale at the Pilot stop and first try he is 4000 pounds overweight. After an adjustment and reweigh he reports “we are a little closer.” Another reweigh “one more time, one hole back will be the best we can do.” He reweighs and now we are only 200 pounds off. Move one more hole and the last reweigh we are good. The drives are 34,080 and we will burn off some fuel and that will moderate, the back is 33,900.
