Indiana to Ohio to Indiana

Big Rig Steve officially done at 19:26 EDT safely parked near Pendleton, Indiana to wait for the preloaded trailer to be loaded.

Big Rig Travels broadcast day began at 7:19 CDT at the TA near Gary, Indiana.  Continuing our trip to Columbus, OH.  BRS “the sun is in my eyes” as we headed towards the fuel island to get fresh coffee.

“Alright there is downtown Indy” at 10:55 EDT near Indianapolis.

BRS story time at 11:22 EDT near Greenfield, IN.

Welcome to Ohio at 12:09 EDT near New Paris.

Stopped at the Love’s near Springfield, OH at 13:05 EDT to top off our refer tank and get fresh coffee.

Broadcast ends as we get near the yard at Columbus, OH at 13:56 EDT to drop our trailer for another driver.

Broadcast resumes at 15:14 EDT, starting a dead head trip to a shipper near Anderson, IN.

Rest area stop at 15:40 EDT near South Vienna, OH.  BRS resolved an air leak issue on the trailer.  The warning light had been illuminated on the trailer, alerting BRS to the issue.

Welcome back to Indiana, near Richmond at 16:51 EDT.  A short time later stopped at the Blue Beacon for a trailer wash out at 16:54 EDT.

Arrival at the shipper near Anderson at 18:46 EDT, dropped our empty trailer and learned from the yard dog that our preloaded trailer had just been put in the dock.  BRS speculated that there hadn’t been any empties for them to load, so we will head out Bobtail Bob and return in the morning.

Numbers:  about 13 miles to receiver.  We covered 492 miles rolling in Indiana and Ohio. 8 day summary was 2,062 miles.

Clocks: 1:50 hours on 11 hr,  2:20 hours on 14 hr,  18:05 hours on 70 hr.  Do not gain back hours tomorrow morning.
