Daily Summary for 3/6/2024

Big Rig Steve officially done for the day at 15:06 CST safely parked near Shreveport, Louisiana.

Title: Early Start to a Long Day

Big Rig Travels broadcast day began at 0:43 CST in Lancaster, Texas.  Continuing our deliveries in Dallas, TX.

Stopped at the Flying J for coffee at 0:55 CST.  BRS started story time about this truck stop at 1:03 CST.  

Stream resumes broadcasting at the first receiver in Dallas at 1:11 CST.  In the dock door at 1:21 CST.  

BRS advised that he will not be at the Midamerica Truck Show in Louisville, KY.  Also, an update on the website, it is very close to being released after a redesign was completed. 

BRS explains yesterday’s maneuvering prior to an exit at 1:51 CST.  A trivia contest breaks at 2:04 CST, the first question was “When was the website started?”  Answer: February 8th, 2008.  The next question he had was “What room in the house did BRS come up with the name Big Rig Travels.  Answer: you’ll have to watch the playback.

First delivery was complete at 3:08 CST.

Arrived and parked in front of the door at 4:00 CST for the second delivery.  Another successful trip completed at 5:24 CST.  Leaving Dallas for the next shipper.

Arrived at shipper near Fort Worth, TX at 6:04 CST.  Status changed to on time to delivery at 10:52 CST.  BRS said “leaving two hours before our appointment time.  I think that’s pretty good.”

We exit off of I-20 to the Pilot near Canton, TX at 12:43 CST for a fuel stop.  BRS also resets a new stream with starlink while in the fuel island.

Rolling again at 13:15 CST back on to I-20 East.  

BRS points out on the westbound side of I-20 at 14:02 CST a big rig had rolled over near Kilgore, TX and traffic was backed up on the westbound side.

Numbers: 802 miles 1291 km to receiver.  We covered 295 miles 475 km including a 1:30 CST delivery, 4:00 CST delivery, a new shipper which allowed us to split our clock as we rolled out of Texas and into Louisiana.

Clocks: 5:00 hours on 11 hr,  2:55 hours on 14 hr, 57:08 hours on 70 hr.  Do not gain back hours tomorrow morning. 

No alarm clock ⏰ tomorrow.   Delivery isn’t until 16:00 EST on Friday near Gaffney, SC.  Choose the BRT YouTube channel alarm bell to receive notifications for the start of our broadcast.
