Daily Summary for 3/25/2025

Council Bluffs, IA to Hudson, CO

Big Rig Travels Tuesday began at 8:29 am CDT.  It was 40 degrees and sunshine. He was starting from the Sapp Bros in Council Bluffs, IA.  “Good morning everybody, alright you all ready to go?”  We are continuing our trip to Pueblo, CO on I-80 west.

Crossing the Missouri River, “And welcome to Nebraska” at 8:36 am.  Steve points out the “Welcome to Omaha” sign and locomotives.

Mass weigh station at 9:14 am near Greenwood, NE, no issues.

Stopped at a rest area at 9:55 am near Goehner, NE.  Steve spots snow on the ground as we leave.

“Welcome to York Nebraska”, Steve points out the water tower painted as a hot air balloon at 10:17 am.

Love’s stop near Aurora, NE for fuel at 10:42 am.  

Recording ended at 11:18 am near Giltner, NE.  There was a technical glitch/error that caused a break in coverage prior to next recording. 

Next recording starts at 2:46 pm MDT at the Flying J near Big Springs, NE.  Elevation is 3,402 ft.  Back onto I-80 for just a short time, then we exit at 2:54 pm to go onto I-76 into Colorado. “Alright, welcome to Colorado” at 2:57 pm near Julesburg.

“Alright welcome to Fort Morgan” at 4:31 pm.

Weigh mass station at 4:39 pm.  No issues.

Love’s stop in Hudson, CO, “I don’t see any parking here, this is a small Love’s, no parking anywhere.”  Steve makes a spot at 5:37 pm.

It is later learned that the second stream was also being recorded with the new 360 camera and a test play/premiere played on Wednesday evening, 3/26/25.

Numbers:  152 miles to receiver, delivery is Thursday morning in Pueblo.  We covered 519 miles rolling out of Iowa, through Nebraska and into Colorado.

Clocks: 2:18 hours on 11 hr,  3:24 hours on 14 hr,  48:24 hours on 70 hr.  Do not gain back hours tomorrow morning. 

No alarm clock ⏰ tomorrow.
