Daily Summary for 3/24/2025

Morris, IL to Council Bluffs, IA

Big Rig Travels Monday began at 8:36 am CDT.  It was 35 degrees and partly cloudy at the TA near Morris, IL.  “Good morning, welcome back to the road.”  We are continuing our trip to Pueblo, CO on I-80 west.  

“Alright, crossing the Mississippi River” at 10:26 am.  “Look at all the white caps, welcome to Iowa” near LeClaire.

Love’s stop for coffee at 10:42 am near Davenport, IA.

Passing the World’s Largest Truckstop at 11:05 am near Walcott, IA.

“Welcome to Des Moines Iowa” at 1:18 pm

 Steve is singing a song to help those who miss Steve’s singing near Walnut, IA at 2:46 pm.

Safely parked at 3:35 pm at Sapp Brothers, near Council Bluffs, IA.  It is 59 degrees and mostly cloudy.  “Nice easy day today.”  

Live watch party started on a separate stream to unveil the new BRT 360 tower cam as the sun set over the truck stop.

Numbers:  We covered 423 miles rolling out of Illinois and across most of Iowa.  We are not in a hurry, delivery is not until Thursday 3/27, a drop which cannot be delivered early.

Clocks: 4:10 hours on 11 hr,  6:20 hours on 14 hr,  58:06 hours on 70 hr.  Do not gain back hours tomorrow morning. We had 1:10 hr before needing a 30 minute break. 

No alarm clock ⏰ tomorrow.

  2. Looking forward to all 360 driving recordings. Will look beat using a Metaquest 3 headset.
