Daily Summary for 3/23/2025

Belvidere, IL to Morris, IL

Big Rig Travels Sunday began at 4:24 pm CDT.  It was 45 degrees overcast and damp at Belvidere, IL headquarters.  Steve is returning from time off that started on 3/14/2025.  “Ok, you all ready to go?  Got two extra days off, which was cool, got a lot of stuff done.  Fresh set of 70 hrs on the clock.” We are starting our trip to pick up a preloaded trailer near Morris, IL. 

We exit off of I-90 near Hampshire, IL, “take some backroads” as we roll onto US20.

Hood starts bouncing up near Newark, IL at 5:55 pm.  

Stop near Morris, IL at 6:02 pm to re-latch the hood on the driver’s side. “Ha, closed half, but not the other half, that’s not a good thing.”

Arrived at the shipper near Morris, IL at 6:07 pm.  Recording ends.
