Big Rig Steve officially done for the day at 20:12 EDT safely parked near Tallapoosa, Georgia.

Title: Weekend layover done, back on the road

Big Rig Travels broadcast day began at 15:25 EDT near Cowpens, South Carolina once leaving the shipper, after spending the weekend at the QT near Gaffney, SC.  An early start on our trip to Olive Branch, MS as he wasn’t supposed to load until evening.  As we left, BRS asked if anyone had noticed that the 24/7 snowman camera had been available all weekend.  Reversing our previous I-85 trip now going south.

Stopped at the Pilot near Piedmont, SC for 75 gallons of truck fuel at 16:27 EDT.  BRS explained the complicated rewards program at Pilot.

Back onto I-85 south at 16:45 EDT, with a bit of a slow up getting out of the Pilot, due to a driver blocking us while he was attempting to park. 

Experienced a slow down going through Atlanta on I-285 while waiting in line for the one lane exit to I-20 west at 19:20 EDT.

Love’s near Waco, GA at 19:58 EDT, did the search for parking, unfortunately this is a small Love’s parking lot and result was back onto I-20 west.  Or, as Jim-Janet Martin called it in the BRT YT chat, “a parking dress rehearsal”.  Steve was not amused.

Numbers:  310 miles 498 km to receiver.  We covered 251 miles 403 km driving to the shipper then rolling out of South Carolina and into Georgia. 9.5 mpg today.  Delivery is tomorrow between 15:00-18:00 CDT.

Clocks: 5:19 hours on 11 hr,  7:05 hours on 14 hr,  63:05 hours on 70 hr.  Do not gain back hours tomorrow morning.
