Thornburg to Richmond to Stuarts Draft

Big Rig Travels Saturday began at 9:51 am EST.  It was 60 degrees and sunshine at the Sheetz near Thornburg, VA. “Ok let’s go,” we are continuing our trip to Richmond, VA to drop this trailer that has a refer issue.  Steve points out “Silverado party everywhere, everywhere,” pickups are everywhere as he leaves in the truck stop and on the roads.

We stop at the Love’s near Providence Forge, VA at 10:55 am for fuel for the refer tank and good coffee.  Steve gets back to the truck, “whoo hoo, red onions with hot dogs, yaaah buddy.”

Steve advised he had 421 gallons to gold for April.  “We came up short in February to make Platinum, we tried.”

Recording ends near Richmond to complete the drop of the trailer and hook of a good empty at 11:44 am.

Next recording starts at 12:32 pm as we are leaving the company yard with a good trailer.  Steve begins story time about what was occurring at the Sheetz earlier in the day back in Thornburg and other recent experiences. 

Rolling on I-64/I-81 at 2:27 pm near Jolive, VA. 

Stopped at the Love’s in Greenville, VA to top off the refer tank at 2:37 pm.

Arrival at the shipper at 3:11 pm near Stuarts Draft, VA to drop the empty trailer and pick up a preloaded trailer.  Recording ends at 3:11 pm.

Steve later advised via Mastadon posting, that upon inspection of the preloaded trailer we discovered damage to the trailer and ended up leaving Bobtail Bob back to Love’s to overnight while the shipper unloaded the damaged trailer and loads onto a good trailer.
