Daily Summary for 2/9/2025

Gary, IN to Obetz, OH

Big Rig Travels Sunday began at 7:23 am CST, it was 26 degrees and overcast at the Love’s in Gary, Indiana.  We just had completed filling up the windshield washer fluid.  We are continuing our trip to the receiver near Columbus, OH.

I-65, welcome to Eastern Time Zone, losing an hour near Remington, IN, it is now 9:25 am EST.

Coffee stop at the Love’s near Whitestown, IN at 10:31 am.

Downtown Indianapolis comes into view at 11:03 am, then we roll onto I-70 at 11:07 am.

Welcome to Ohio as we work our way to the Petro near New Paris at 12:19 pm.  We need to check something.

We cross back into Indiana, and then officially into Ohio again at 12:29 pm when we roll under the arch.  Steve discusses/questions the motto as listed for Ohio.

Big Rig Steve officially done when we roll into the Sheetz in Obetz, OH to search for a parking spots.  Steve spots one, but he needs to turn around quickly to get it, “it’s my spot Prime, that’s my spot, get away”.  Recording ends at 2:19 pm. 

Numbers:  1 miles to receiver, live unload at 3:00 am (Monday).  We covered 338 miles rolling out of Indiana and into Ohio.

Clocks: 5:18 hours on 11 hr,  7:30 hours on 14 hr,  40:11 hours on 70 hr.  Do not gain back hours tomorrow morning. 

Next trip doesn’t load until Tuesday 2/11 near Cleveland, and will deliver on Wednesday 2/12 near North Aurora.  Time off will be through 2/17.
