Big Rig Steve officially done for the day at 19:07 EST safely parked at Newberry, South Carolina.

Title: Five state day

Big Rig Travels broadcast day began at 10:08 EST from Memphis, IN at Thornton’s Truck Stop.  Steve went across the street to the Love’s for fresh coffee.

Rolled through a tunnel on I-64 at 10:40 EST near Louisville, KY.

Near Mount Vernon, KY, at 12:26 EST, BRS advised we were at exactly 1,800 miles to our 2 million mile mark.

Welcome to Tennessee at 13:31 EST near Jellico, TN.

BRS noted a landscape trailer, broken down in the median at 15:01 EST near Danbridge, TN.

In Newport, TN, we stopped at the Love’s at 15:12 EST for coffee, food and our mandatory 30 minute break. 

Approached another tunnel on I-40 near Clyde, NC at 16:16 EST where we lost the stream. 

Welcome to South Carolina at 17:47 EST.

Numbers:  47 miles 76 km to receiver.  We covered 489 miles 787 km rolling out of Indiana, through Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina and into South Carolina.  “Not bad, not bad at all”

Clocks: 2:41 hours on 11 hr,  4:21 hours on 14 hr,  50:52 hours on 70 hr.  Do not gain back hours tomorrow morning.  1,445 miles away from 2 million mile mark.
