Backroads of Arkansas
Big Rig Travels day began at 8:29 am CST, leaving the shipper near Memphis, Tennessee. It was 33 degrees with sunshine. Status changed to “on time to delivery.” We are starting our trip to Golden, Colorado. Steve advised, we are taking backroads that are slower, but shorter distance and a more scenic route. Also, acknowledged there was a story behind this trip.
Crossing the Mississippi River at 8:44 am into Arkansas.
Love’s stop at 8:50 am near West Memphis, AR. Cat scale for a mass weigh check, “ok, well, weights here are very similar to what our terminal said. I’ll buy that for a $1.” We are legal. Fresh coffee was acquired.
“Ok, welcome to Jonesboro, AR” at 10:06 am rolling on I-555.
Stopped at the Love’s near Jonesboro for refer fuel, then fresh coffee at 10:11 am.
“Backroads start now” at 10:44 am near Bono, AR, US63.
BRS pointed out “train on the right” at 10:55 am near Walnut Ridge, AR.
Big Rig Steve officially done at 12:22 pm near Mammoth Spring, AR. We are very near the state line of Missouri, it actually cuts through this parking lot.
At 3:16 pm Steve starts a new LIVE broadcast, a field trip walking through Mammoth Springs State Park and downtown Mammoth Springs. It was 47 degrees and mostly sunny. Broadcast ends at 5:13 pm as Steve advised he was going to get a steak dinner at the State Line Plaza.

Numbers: We are 94 gallons to Platinum status for February. We covered 148 miles rolling in Tennessee and Arkansas and visited one customer.
