Big Rig Steve officially done at 9:30 pm safely parked near shipper at Oak Ridge, Florida.

Big Rig Travels broadcast day began at 11:20 am near Rincon, Georgia.  It was 81 degrees and sunny. 

Leaving receiver due to not accepting our load, due to no power.  We’d been redirected to an alternate receiver near Savannah, Georgia.  BRS noted, “so we came out here for nothing, nobody told us anything.”

In a dock door, at 12:30 pm near Savannah, GA.  Delivery was completed at 1:00 pm.  Status now changed to headed to shipper near Orlando, FL.

Stopped at the Blue Beacon at 2:23 pm, no power, they are closed.  Rolled over next door to the Love’s to get trailer fuel, then back onto I-95 south.

Welcome to Florida at 3:34 pm near Gross, FL.  

Florida agricultural inspection at 3:36 pm.

At 4:20 pm in Jacksonville, Florida we take backroads to try and find a trailer washout location.  Found out they don’t do trailer washouts anymore so the question is, how do we get out of here?

Stopped at the Love’s at 6:00 pm near Daytona, FL.  Steve witnesses a Tesla hearse for the first time.  He got coffee and hot dogs with onions.

At 6:19 pm, stopped on the side of I-95.  Steve adding a gallon of coolant.  This is the first sign of an issue brewing.  Steve doesn’t see any leaks.  

Rolling through Orlando, FL at 7:26 pm on I-4.

At 7:50 pm we drop our empty trailer at a lot near the shipper in Oak Ridge, FL, then we go to where they are loading our trailer nearby.  Steve conducts two road crew meet ups, one at 8:33 pm and one at 9:10 pm.

Paperwork was ready at 9:24 pm, Steve ends up spending the night at the shipper.

Numbers:  No numbers discussed. 

Clocks: No clocks discussed.

    • Hoping for an update today, but currently in the shop addressing a recall issue and a coolant “leak” issue.
