Afternoon folks! We scooted on over to Mount Sterling, Kentucky for the only empty around. I performed the pretest on the reefer unit and it fails and shuts down. Great, now I get stuck with a trailer that needs to be repaired before being loaded…and it is the weekend! Our next load is posted now but does not pickup until Monday morning. This will give me time to hunt for trailer repairs and a washout before Monday. As soon as I figure out where on road folks want to send me, I will update y’all.
Update: the trailer repair folks are coming to us to fix everything on the trailer so we can load it on Monday morning. We will call it a day and head back closer to Louisville tomorrow.
Update again…trailer folks cannot fill freon because the fill fitting the reefer manufacturing company uses is special and they are the only ones that have it! Being the weekend, not sure what we are going to do now. Contacting on road again…
