Columbus, OH to Ripley, WV
Big Rig Travels day began at 10:46 am EST. It is 27 degrees and overcast leaving the shipper in Columbus, OH. We are starting our trip to Greensboro, NC, 403 miles.
Love’s stop near Lancaster, OH at 11:35 am for coffee and hotdogs.
Pull over to the side of road on US 33 near Burlington, OH at 12:51 pm. “What did we just blow?” Hood up on the Blue Comet where a loud whistling was coming from. “We’ve broken a clamp on the turbo exhaust.”
Steve puts a tie strap in place of the broken clamp, we try moving the Blue Comet further ahead and the “Stop Engine” warning light comes on, causing us to have to shut down the engine and contact the company for emergency service.
Love’s service repair brings a new clamp which solves our issue after nearly four hours of waiting. Back on the road again.
“Alright, crossing the Ohio River, welcome to West Virginia” at 5:38 pm.
Big Rig Steve officially done at the Love’s near Ripley, WV at 6:05 pm. It is 30 degrees and dark.

One of the main reasons I continue to watch Big Rig Travels is because of how well Steve handles adversity.
So glad that everything got fixed today and he was able to be back on the road again.
