Today’s title: Chaos breaking out.
The day started for Big Rig Steve at the Speedway truck stop where he had spent the night. Good coffee in hand, he rolled out for the long mile 1.6 km to the receiver. Arrived at 8:22 EST and checked in 8:28 CST (all this intelligence thanks to snowman camera was broadcasting the trip into and at the receiver). Status was unloading at 9:37 CST.
The broadcast day began 10:26 CST as BRS returned to the Speedway to park and regroup while the bosses searched for our next trip. Yes, freight has gotten slow in this part of the Midwest. White Blossoms were visible on the trees surrounding the lot.
11:00 CST, we were off to next shipper 303 miles 485km to go to Edwardsville, Illinois. John259 was instructed to post the trip as we rolled out.

13:05 CST the welcome to Indiana sign greeted BRT.
I-64 at 13:56 CST near Grayville, we were welcomed back to Illinois. Yes, we made back to home state of Big Rig Travels. Whoo hoo!
Near Ina, IL at 14:55 CST, we rolled in for fuel stop at the very congested ❤️Loves. Steve also gave BC headlights a cleaning. Loves coffee tanker made an appearance while Steve was in getting a cup. (Yep, Carlos it doesn’t count as it was not out in the wild). Steve had a story about what happened inside while he was checking out. Chaos was breaking out, all while our tour guide patiently waited. (Yes, this almost had Steve thinking maybe we stop and try again tomorrow).
As we rolled into the Pilot, our home for the night, BRS pointed out the wild deer playing king of the mountain. Yes, the old landfill mountain next to the Pilot. He safely found a campsite for the BC to park.
Live load in the morning that drops Friday morning in Rockford, IL. Yes, next town over from BRT headquarters. If BRS is lucky Thursday night will be staying at HQ.
Numbers were not available to be addressed as truck computer had issues and BRS was rebooting. Yes, when all fails reboot. We did cover most of the advertised 303 miles 485 km today as we left Kentucky across Indiana and Illinois. We have 12 miles 19 km to shipper.
Clocks : 70 hour we had been 12:41 when we started and gain back 6:51 hours tomorrow morning. BRS filled up both tanks for first time in a long while. Yes, we are in new month so 130 gallons pumped leaves us with 370 gallons to Loves gold status for April. We are at platinum for our March reward for our accomplishments in February. Not bad for a short month.
