Daily Summary for 12/11/2024

Soggy, soggy day

Big Rig Travels broadcast day began at 8:50 am at the Flying J near Wytheville, Virginia.  It was 50 degrees and rainy.    We are continuing our trip to North Carolina.  Fresh coffee and rolling back onto I-77 at 9:01 am.  Steve advised that it rained all night long.  He was up at 4:30 am waiting for daylight as we have all the time in the world, delivery not until tomorrow.

Welcome to North Carolina at 9:44 am near Lowgap.

Arrival at the Flying J near Graham, NC.  We have all day to wait here.  Steve spies the white truck that has been sitting vacant, parked here the last three times we have been here. “This is as close as we can get for free.”  We had the closest spot to the building at 11:22 am.  A watch party started.  Broadcast ended at sunset, 4:30 pm.

Numbers: 69 miles to receiver, Thursday 12/12 at 5:45 pm, a live unload.  We will leave at 3:00 pm EST tomorrow.  We covered 136 miles rolling out of Virginia and into North Carolina.

Clocks: 8:38 hours on 11 hr,  10:31 hours on 14 hr,  7:22 hours on 70 hr.  Gain back 7:06 hours tomorrow morning.
