Big Rig Steve ended the broadcast day at 17:00 EDT as we rolled into delivery location in Louisville, KY. BRS advised that it usually takes several hours for live unloading to complete and afterwards will find parking for the night. Yes, we have our next trip.
Title: “Give me all the information to begin with”
Big Rig Travels broadcast day began 10:47 CDT at the Loves ❤️near Oakwood, IL where we had ended the day yesterday. Trailer repair was completed, trailer tandem moved. Although, Steve was proposing math problems for the school students watching BRT to determine how many miles did the Blue Comet need to drive at 8 miles per gallon and 8 lbs per gallon to lose 250 lbs? (So did we maybe we still have some extra weight on the driveline yet?). With coffee ☕️ in hand, back on to I-74 eastbound for Indiana.
11:06 EDT BRS advised we have our next trip back after we finally have all the information. Yes, Steve had a good discussion about just that after yesterday turning down the trip due to time constraints. Yep, we did not have all the information. After learning it was pickup whenever we wanted and the same on delivery, we were good to accept the trip back.
13:13 EST we started rolling into west side of Indianapolis, IN and then south out on I-65 towards Louisville, KY.
13:58 EST near Franklin, IN BRS advised that we were ahead of schedule.
15:08 EST Steve advised we are stopping short of delivery at the Loves ❤️near Memphis, IN. BRS wiggled us into prime viewing spot of the fuel ⛽️ island while we waited the 1-1/2 hours to arrive at delivery destination exactly two hours prior to delivery appointment. Yes, we had less than thirty miles 48 km to go the receiver. A BRT mini watch party broke out.
Steve was asked a question about what he was licensed to drive. BRS has answered this question many times, but always helpful to answer for new viewers. “We are licensed for everything except for chauffeur and passenger buses”.
(I believe that the 478 of us road crew at that moment riding with in the Blue Comet would not qualify as a passenger bus, so we’re good).
We left at 16:30 EST back on to I-65 southbound. We had completed our 30 minute break and then some.
We exited off I-65 just before Clarksville, IN on to I-265 eastbound.
16:48 Welcome to Kentucky sign greeted us as we crossed the Ohio River on the Lewis and Clark bridge and shortly afterwards into a tunnel.

Numbers: we covered the advertised 221 miles 335 km as we rolled out of Illinois and through Indiana into Kentucky. Clocks were not addressed as BRS would be still on the clock as broadcast ended at the receiver. We started the day with 17:58 hours on the 70 hr and gain back 6:37 hours tomorrow morning. Eight day running total 1,858 miles 2,999 km. Total for season four started last Monday April 17th 2,303 miles 3,713 km.
