Big Rig Travels day began at 9:40 am. It was 52 degrees and cloudy at the Love’s near Dwight, IL. We have an empty trailer and heading to “time off” near Danville, IL. BRS advises that no official retirement until Blue Comet is emptied and is turned in, along with his badge and fuel card. He plans to pick up his RV tomorrow (Friday), relax on Saturday/Sunday and clean out truck. Then, most likely, on Monday he will take the truck and trailer to Gary, IN or Indianapolis, IN. He doesn’t know if the bosses will have him pick up a load nearby to deliver to Gary or not.
“Got fresh coffee, let’s go, let’s go, let’s go. Alright, let’s take the back roads, shall we?”
Big Rig Steve officially done at the Marathon truck stop near Danville, IL, parking at 11:53 am.
Watch for news on Monday. Steve may do a test stream tomorrow from the RV.
Clocks: 11:00 hours on 14 hr, 17:38 hours on 70 hr. Clocks will reset over the weekend.
