Columbus, OH to Palmyra, PA
Big Rig Travels day began at 9:59 am EST. It was 45 degrees and clear at the Pilot near Columbus, OH. “We have picked up our loaded trailer in the yard, where we spent the night. Leaving Columbus, Ohio, we deliver in Palmyra, PA. We are going to go through downtown Columbus.”
We stop at the I-70 service plaza at 10:38 am near Harbor Hills, PA to send a message to the boss.
Love’s stop at 11:59 am near Morristown, OH.
“Alright, welcome to West Virginia” at 12:30 pm near Wheeling.
“Oh somebody broke down. We’ve been there, done that.” There was a big rig on the opposite direction.
Come up on a stoppage on I-70 near Buffalo Twp, PA at 12:56 pm. And a complete stop at 1:02 pm.
Steve points out a railroad tunnel at 1:54 pm on I-70 to the right, down below the highway near Canton Twp, PA.
Stream drops at 2:31 pm near Rostrarer Twp, PA.
New stream at 3:03 pm near Cook Twp, PA. It is 49 degrees and sunny.
BRS points out his “landmark house” on the side of the interstate at 3:23 pm near Somerset, PA.
Allegheny Tunnel near Stony Creek Twp, PA at 3:30 pm.
Service plaza stop at 3:54 pm near Bedford Twp, PA. “Gonna lay my head down. 30 minute break for sure.”
115 miles to go at 4:45 pm as he gets back onto the interstate.
“Double tunnel” at 5:35 pm near Fannett Twp, PA.
Love’s stop near Londonderry Twp, PA for fuel at 6:48 pm. We have 10 miles to go to delivery. We reached Gold status and now 392 gallons to platinum. Steve speculated we probably would not hit diamond, but who knows.
Broadcast ends at 7:23 pm as we near the receiver as Steve advised that all we were going to do was drop this load, pull out an empty and find a place to sleep. Steve also advised that the next trip picks up at Mechanicsburg, PA going to Lebanon, PA. It will be a short trip.
